About Us
The Framing Lot is a young company, having been started in June 2006, but with loads of experience as picture framers. Alec qualified as a framer in London in 1993 and joined a local Exeter firm in 1998, having moved to Devon with his wife Jo and their young family. In 2006 we took the decision to set up our own framing business and in June of that year we opened the doors of our workshop in Dawlish.

Alec and Jo work on all aspects of the framing processes - we believe this enables us to offer the best advice to our customers.
It was a conscious decision to base the business away from the High Street. We have the room to be able to work with larger pieces of artwork as well as handling volume framing for contract work, even when these jobs coincide. We have space to ensure that all the work is safely stored and protected.
For the customer the most obvious benefit is that our prices remain very competitive.
All our frames are made in our workshop - even our ready-made frames - and you can see us at work as you browse through our extended selection of gifts, prints, cards, glass art and mirrors in our gallery.

We believe every customer has the right to friendly expert advice and help from us to ensure that the framing they choose to have is exactly right for them and their picture. No matter what your budget may be, or what it is you are choosing to have framed - we will always give our best service and ensure a superb quality of finish.
We are pleased to work with members of local art societies including Teignmouth Art Society, Dawlish Art Society, Dawlish Painters and Bishopsteignton Art Society; plus participants in Devon Open Studios, Nine Days of Art, Six Days of Art and other local art projects.
